Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce
State of the Municipality
This annual event will bring together business and community leaders to hear directly from Mayor Cecil Clarke on municipal priorities, economic development initiatives, key projects, and issues impacting the business community across the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The Chamber will also provide an overview of findings from its inaugural CBRM Business-Friendly Report Card and discuss how the results are helping shape its advocacy priorities moving forward. Based on feedback from local businesses, the report highlights both the opportunities and challenges facing the business community and serves as a foundation for ongoing dialogue and advocacy. Following the Mayor's address, attendees will take part in a moderated discussion and Q&A featuring questions submitted by the business community, as well as questions related to themes identified in the report card. Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions during the event. The Chamber will conclude the morning by launching the 2026 CBRM Business-Friendly Report Card Survey, providing businesses with another opportunity to share their experiences and help shape future advocacy priorities. Thursday, June 25th Time: 8:30 - 10:30 am Royal Cape Breton Yacht Club Room, Port of Sydney Breakfast buffet and coffee is included Member pricing is available.
